About Angel Cashmere

When my brother Jamie and I founded Angel Cashmere in 2006 the priority for us was to ensure we delivered the finest quality products at real value for money - we think we have and hope you agree!

It all started with a little conversation I had with Jamie about my unsuccessful search for a contemporary cashmere baby blanket for a dear friend's baby. An idea came to us that, with Jamie's technical expertise and vast experience in the cashmere industry and my enthusiasm and inspiration following the birth of my little boy, we could bring an original, stylish product to this market ourselves. So, Angel Cashmere was born, specializing in the design and production of luxury baby blankets. In time, we also hope to add a small line of baby clothes.

Jamie and I are from Fife, Scotland. Jamie studied textiles at Herriot Watt Galashiels Textile University, before working in the Scottish cashmere industry for over 8 years. Following company promotion in 2004 he and his partner Claire relocated to Beijing, to work in the Chinese cashmere industry - a thriving market, now producing some of the world's finest cashmere garments. He is now fluent in Mandarin, and continues to expand his expertise and knowledge of cashmere as well as increase his connections in the textile world.

I left Scotland in 1992. I spent time working and travelling in various parts of the world, before arriving in London during 2001, where I currently live with my partner Craig, our son Harry - and daughter Holly who just arrived on 28th December 2007. In between running after my very active toddler and feeding, burping and changing our lovely new daughter I manage Angel Cashmere in UK. I am also hoping later this year to embark on several training courses regarding textile production and design. I believe and hope that having my own children has inspired me to provide the best possible product available and it's my wish that the hard work and research we put into creating our finished items will benefit you for many years to come.
