Lamere

Lamere is a 100% natural crossbred animal fibre product. Angel Cashmere is delighted to introduce this textile to the baby clothing and accessory market. Lamere provides a similar hand touch and all the comforts of cashmere, but is a more affordable option for today's trendier tots!

Lamere is sourced from crossbred animals with very similar characteristics to that of the cashmere goat, originating along the Tien Shen mountain ranges in the "Stan" countries of Central Asia.  Over a long period of time the fibre from these different animals was collected and sorted into micron (fibre diameter) categories until a greater understanding could be reached as to exactly what types of fibres they were, and how they could be utilized in the textile market.  This material is first hand-sorted, scoured and de-haired in its native country before being transported to China.

It is in Beijing that the production of this lamere fibre takes on an individual edge. The fibre goes through a unique finishing process, resulting in the enhancement of the lamere handle and leaving the material with a hand touch very similar to cashmere.
